Per questo Pentax ha presentato una nuova compatta ognitempo ressitente all'acqua e alla polvere.
La W80 è dotata di sensore da 12.1 megapixel e zoom ottico 5x e ottica 28mm. La macchina resiste fino ad una profondità di circa 5m.
Sul retro è posozionato un LCD da 2,5" ed è capace di riprendere filmati in HD.
Tra le altre caratteristiche possiamo annoverare l'ormai immnacabile Face Detection (fino a 32 facce in 3 centesimi di secondo), Shake Reduction sia per le foto che per filmati. Interessante è la funzione Super Macro che consente di effettuare riprese con distanza minima di 1 cm.
Sarà disponibile in tre colori (rosso, blu e grigio) al prezzo indicativo di 300$.
